
Moscow officials fell under the new EU sanctions : Moscow Vice Mayor Natalya Sergunina, HEAD of the information technology department Eduard Lysenko, also under them were the head of the Moscow police department Oleg Baranov and the head of the Federal Penitentiary Service Arkady Gostev.
The Department of Information Technologies of Moscow and the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Moscow were also subject to sanctions. Among the legal entities under sanctions were Electronic Moscow JSC, Tevian and Ntechlab.
Sanctions were also imposed against employees of Correctional Colony No. 6 in the Vladimir Region, where opposition leader Alexei Navalny is being held: the head of the colony Dmitry Nozhkin, his four deputies - Yuri Fomin, Danila Sinyukhin, Anatoly Gorshkov and Dmitry Makorin. Also under the sanctions was an officer of the colony Mikhail Neimovich.
In addition to the EU, the United States and Canada announced new sanctions against Russia on the evening of July 20.
Thus, Washington introduced restrictive measures against corporate governance adviser at Yandex, the former head of the Ministry of Finance and the Accounts Chamber Alexei Kudrin. Tinkoff, Unistream and Solidarity banks, as well as Loco-Bank, the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company, and the Arsenal machine-building plant also fell under US sanctions.
Ottawa added to the sanctions list the Ministry of Born Science, Tochka Bank, the Moscow City Cossack Society, companies that associated with Wagner PMC and its founder Yevgeny Prigozhin, and Besogon LLC established by DIRECTOR Nikita Mikhalkov (he also fell under sanctions).
