CANADA , introducing new sanctions against RUSSIA, is trying to run ahead of other Western countries, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told TASS .

“Canada is always trying to run ahead of everyone, demonstrating what an exemplary “sanctioner” it is,” Peskov said.

In addition, the presidential press secretary noted that the British sanctions against the Artek children's center in Crimea struck him as "the height of insanity."

 

 

On July 20, Canada imposed new sanctions against Russian companies and individuals. Among those subject to restrictions are Tochka and Tinkoff banks, news portals Odna Rodina, Russkaya Vesna and Readovka LLC, the founder of the portal of the same name, as well as Besogon, founded by DIRECTOR Nikita Mikhalkov (Mikhalkov also fell under sanctions). Among individuals are Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova, Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov, actors Ivan Okhlobystin and Dmitry Kharatyan.

In addition to Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States also imposed sanctions . London added to the sanctions lists for Mali, the Central African Republic and Sudan, eight individuals and five legal entities associated, according to the British government, with Wagner PMC. Artek was under sanctions three days ago.
