The National Bank of Belarus has decided to reduce from October 1, 2017 from 20 to 10 percent the amount of the mandatory sale of foreign currency proceeds of resident business entities.

This decision was made by the National Bank as part of the implementation of a consistently pursued policy of liberalization of foreign exchange relations and taking into account the stable situation in the foreign exchange market, which for a long time has been characterized by a steady excess of foreign currency supply over demand for it.

According to the press service of the National Bank, another reduction in the standard for the mandatory sale of proceeds in foreign currency will contribute to the development of the export potential of business entities and will be a consistent step towards harmonization of currency legislation within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
