
At the EU leaders' summit next week, the participants will discuss the imposition of new sanctions against RUSSIA, including economic ones. This was stated by the Vice President of the European Commission, responsible for the policy of preserving European values and transparency and former Czech Minister Vera Yourova in an interview with Czech Radio.
“The legitimate demands of the European Union on the Russian side are repeated: an end to hybrid and cyber attacks, respect for human rights, especially with regard to Alexei Navalny, and implementation of the MINSK agreements,” Yourova said.

She said the new sanctions should also come in response to the October 2014 bombings in Vrbetica, Czech Republic, allegedly involving Russian intelligence agencies.
Yourova added that she was disappointed with the approach of a number of other European countries and expected a sharper reaction from them. At the same time, the politician claims that the EU does not want a confrontation with Russia.
