The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of RUSSIA intends, in the face of sanctions pressure, to compensate employers for the costs of partial wages in case of temporary disability at the rate of one minimum wage per employee. This is stated in the official response of the department to the request of the HEAD of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy Andrei Kutepov, TASS reports.

“In the context of the introduction of external sanctions pressure, the Russian Ministry of Labor is developing additional measures to support employment and the labor market. In particular, on the organization of temporary employment of workers at risk of dismissal, which will allow them to maintain employment for the period of adaptation of enterprises to new production and logistics conditions and support the income of citizens, ”the Ministry of Labor said in a response.

According to the document, employers are provided with compensation for the costs of partial wages when organizing temporary employment for employees of organizations at risk of dismissal, as well as the logistics of work. The amount of payment per employee per month is equal to the size of one minimum wage, increased by insurance contributions to state non-budgetary funds and the regional coefficient.

In 2021, the minimum wage was 12,792 rubles. On January 1, 2022, this amount increased to RUB 13,890.
