The Ministry of Transport reported the loss of 78 aircraft due to sanctions

Almost 80 aircraft were arrested abroad, while almost 800 aircraft were transferred to the Russian registry, Savelyev said. According to him, RUSSIAtrying to negotiate a buyout with lessors, but so far to no avail

Of the 1367 aircraft operated by Russian airlines, 78 were arrested abroad. This was announced by the HEAD of the Ministry of Transport Vitaly Savelyev at a meeting of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy. According to the minister, because of Western sanctions, Russia finally "lost" them.

At the same time, Savelyev said, Russian air carriers transferred hundreds of aircraft to the domestic registry. “Almost 800 cars have been transferred. We insure them in a Russian insurance company,” he said (quoted by TASS).

Russia is trying to negotiate the purchase of aircraft with foreign lessors, but so far unsuccessfully, Savelyev said: “There is a ban and a demand for return, they do not want to enter into negotiations on compensation for their payment and the purchase of ships from them.”

In Russia, it was allowed to register the rights to foreign aircraft on lease Economics

Russia cannot hand over the planes, because this "means leaving itself without aviation." “You understand this, and therefore the government made such a decision,” the minister added (quote from Interfax). Now the flights continue, but at some stage the Russian side will need spare parts for aircraft, the authorities are solving this issue.
