The United States has imposed sanctions against seven individuals and three companies that were allegedly involved in the illegal EXPORT of military electronics to Russia, according to a document from the Bureau of Industrial and Security Affairs of the US Department of Commerce.

The restrictions included:

Nikolay Goltsev, Salimjon Nasriddinov, Kristina Puzyreva, Oleg Zenchenko, Ekaterina Vetoshkina, Pavel Chernikov, Vladimir Bochkarev, SH Brothers, SN Electronics (these two companies were registered in the usa), Suntronic.

“These ten entities are alleged to be part of a complex global procurement scheme that illegally sourced and purchased millions of dollars worth of dual-use electronics for end users in Russia, including companies affiliated with the Russian military,” the document said.

All seven sanctioned individuals face multiple charges in the Eastern District of New York, including conspiracy to violate the Export Control Reform Act. Goltsev, Nasriddinov and Puzyreva were arrested on October 31.

The indictment states that SH Brothers made purchases for $7 million. Goltsev and Nasriddinov carried out transactions through it and SN Electronics, they carried them out on the instructions of Bochkarev, Chernikov, Vetoshkina and Zenchenko. They legalized purchased electronic components and sent them to Russia through intermediary corporations (among them Suntronic) from Turkey, CHINA , India and the UAE. Puzyreva was responsible for financial transactions in the scheme.

The US Department of Justice previously announced the arrest of four people involved in the scheme. According to the District COURT for the Eastern District of New York, Goltsev and Puzyreva are Canadian citizens from Montreal, and Nisriddinov, who has Russian and Tajik citizenship, is from Brooklyn.

Also named in the indictment were Nikita Arkhipov and Artem Olovyannikov of St. Petersburg and Nikolai Grigoriev of Brooklyn. Gorigoriev was also arrested.

Russia considers the sanctions illegal. As President Vladimir Putin argued , they were aimed at “crushing the Russian economy,” but this did not work out. In September of this year, the HEAD of state said that the economic recovery after the “sanctions onslaught” had generally been completed.
