The Ministry of Economy responded to a warning about the risks of closing 10% of companies

Almost all entrepreneurs from among those who took advantage of the concessional lending program retained employment at their enterprises. This was stated by Deputy HEAD of the Ministry of Economic Development Tatyana Ilyushnikova, her words are quoted by the press service of the department.

This is how the ministry responded to a request from RBC to comment on a survey conducted by the Office of Business Ombudsman Boris Titov, according to which approximately every tenth Russian company is preparing to close. According to Ilyushnikova, this study was not submitted to the department, but they are ready to get acquainted with it.

“The information published in the media is of an estimated nature. We are guided by the data that banks regularly provide us with - participants in preferential lending programs for business," the Deputy Minister said. According to this information, 98% of borrowers who have taken advantage of the program of preferential salary loans comply with the condition of maintaining employment, "and therefore can count on the loan being written off."

Loans to support employment, says Ilyushnikova, turned out to be the most demanded measure during the period of quarantine restrictions, which made it possible to save 6.5 million jobs.
