Foreign Office Bans 30 Britons from Entering Russia

Sanctions imposed in response to hostile actions of Great Britain , Russian Foreign Ministry reported

RUSSIA has imposed personal sanctions against 30 British citizens. They are banned from entering Russia. The decision was made in response to "hostile actions by the British side."

The Russian Foreign Ministry has published a full list of those against whom sanctions have been imposed. Among the most senior figures on the list is UK Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner. The list also includes:

  • Home Secretary Yvette Cooper;
  • Minister of Justice Shabana Mahmud;
  • Finance Minister Rachel Reeves;
  • Minister for Energy Security and Carbon Neutrality Edward Miliband and other ministers.

Sanctions were also imposed on three members of the House of Commons, the commander of the 51st Squadron of the Royal Air Force Keith Bisset. Journalists Tom Ball of The Times and Dan Woodland of the Daily Mail fell under Russian restrictions.

The day before, Britain imposed sanctions against AlfaStrakhovanie and the VSK insurance house.

Russia imposed sanctions against the British in August 2024. At that time, 32 employees of analytical agencies fell under them.
