The Foreign Ministry has banned 25 more US citizens from entering Russia , including the wife and daughter of the US President Jill and Ashley Biden, according to the agency's website.
Restrictive measures were introduced "as a response to the ever-expanding US sanctions against Russian political and public figures," the Foreign Ministry explained.
In addition to members of the Biden family, the stop list includes US senators "responsible for shaping the Russophobic course," as well as members of an international expert group headed by the HEAD of the office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak and former US ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul (the so-called McFaul-Yermak group). ). This group is developing proposals for strengthening anti-Russian sanctions.
In particular, senators Charles Grassley, Kirsten Gillibrandr, Susan Collins, Benjamin Sass and Martin Heinrich, as well as a number of professors and employees of Stanford and Yale universities, including professors Larry Diamond, Francis Fukuyama and Lester Crown, were banned from entering Russia.
