Bulgarian Ambassador to RUSSIA Atanas Krystin was handed a note declaring the staff of the Bulgarian diplomatic mission persona non grata. This was reported on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the exact number of diplomats expelled is not indicated.

“This measure is a response to the unmotivated decision taken in March by the Bulgarian side to declare “persona non grata” ten diplomats of the Russian Embassy in Sofia,” the statement said.
