CHINA will take mirror countermeasures against the US for new US sanctions on Chinese officials if they are not lifted, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said, Xinhua news agency reported.
He called the US "the world's biggest human rights abuser". Wenbin said Washington's statement about China's human rights violations is full of "ideological prejudice and political lies" and violates international law and the country's sovereignty.
“We call on the American side <...> to stop deliberately discrediting and suppressing China and to immediately lift the so-called sanctions against Chinese officials, otherwise China will reciprocate,” said a representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
