Maduro sent to hell the representative of the US State Department

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro sent a representative of the US State Department to hell in response to Washington's published media threats to increase sanctions against the republic, reports Venezuela News.

The Europa Press, citing a representative of the US State Department, reported that Washington would "review and adjust" sanctions against Venezuela if the country's president does not maintain a dialogue with the opposition and intensifies repression.

“The representative of the gringo made threats against Venezuela. He said that if Venezuela does not move forward in political dialogue with the gangster, corrupt and home-trading sector of the Unitary Platform, they will retaliate and impose sanctions against our country. I say to the gringo representative: “Go to hell!” Maduro said at a march in support of the fight against corruption.

The President stressed that “Venezuela is respected” and does not accept threats from the US government. The crowd responded by chanting, "Back off, you damned Yankees."

"They don't know who they're messing with," Maduro said. He called the Venezuelans a people who "demonstrated courage, patriotism, anti-imperialism, dignity and love for the great motherland." According to him, "the representative of imperialism, who can intimidate the Venezuelans in the struggle for the land, the future and the great homeland in which we believe and which we are building, has not yet been born."

The United States severed diplomatic relations with Venezuela, imposed sanctions and closed its embassy in 2019, accusing President Nicolás Maduro of electoral fraud. Against the background of mass protests in the Republic, Washington supported opposition leader Juan Guaido, and US President Donald Trump proclaimed him the HEAD of the country.
