Lavrov ridiculed "stable and predictable" US sanctions against Russia

RUSSIA will judge the calls of the US authorities to normalize relations by real actions, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said, speaking at a press conference before the upcoming meeting with the US Secretary of State , Interfax reports.

“They made such a decision that it is necessary to stand for stable and predictable relations with Russia. But if these are stably predictable sanctions  , this is probably not what we need,” Lavrov mocked.

He promised that Russia would judge US calls to normalize relations "not by words, there were already too many of them, but by concrete deeds."

The diplomat also noted that in a recent telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, he mentioned that Moscow wants to achieve a balanced relationship in which the interests of the two countries can coincide on the basis of equality and mutual respect.

“And the red lines that we will not cross when discussing the international agenda will also be determined by Russia. This fully applies to the issue of strategic stability," Lavrov quoted the President of Russia in this regard.
