Imposing sanctions against RUSSIA in several waves could help stop the escalation, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said at the Pentagon, Sky News reported.

According to the minister, such an approach could stop the "invasion" if it continues "on a permanent basis."

“The sanctions announced by President [US Joe] Biden seem serious when viewed as a first step. From conversations with President Biden and Secretary of State [US Anthony] Blinken, I understood that this is the first step, and they are ready to increase pressure on Russia if it escalates, ”Kuleba also said in an interview with Fox News.

According to Kuleba, now the sanctions have affected the “core” of the financial interests of President Vladimir Putin and his entourage, and ordinary citizens of Russia will not suffer from these restrictions. As the minister pointed out, this is exactly the kind of impact that is needed.
