People's Artist of the RSFSR, circus artist Yuri Kuklachev, in response to personal sanctions from Ukraine, invited President Vladimir Zelensky to his performance, TASS reports .

“I recommend that you visit our kind performance so that you can remember the real human values that, unfortunately, have been forgotten,” the artist said in a conversation with the agency.

He also called the clown profession dangerous, recalling that Adolf Hitler “announced sanctions on Charlie Chaplin” and that satirist Mikhail Zadornov was also subject to restrictions at one time.

On April 18, Zelensky imposed sanctions on Russian cultural and sports figures. The restrictions affected not only Kuklachev, but also singer Yaroslav Dronov (Shaman), fencer Sofya Velikaya, lead singer of the group "Lyube" Nikolay Rastorguev, and others.

The president of the Russian Skiing Federation, Elena Vyalbe, who was also included on the sanctions list, responded to the restrictions against her by saying that she “doesn’t care.”
