Despite the sanctions imposed on Moscow, Ukraine imported $6.7 billion worth of Russian goods and services last year, Dmitry Kozak, deputy HEAD of the Russian presidential administration, said in an interview with Russia 24 TV channel.

“Today, in terms of the volume of trade, despite all the restrictions, mutual sanctions that were introduced by [ex-president of Ukraine] Mr. [Petr] Poroshenko and [the current president of Ukraine] Mr. [Vladimir] Zelensky adds, our trade turnover is about $11 billion. At the same time, exports from Russia only in 2020 purchase goods and services worth $6.7 billion, and Russia receives these revenues,” Kozak said.

In the first quarter of 2021, the EXPORT of goods and services to Ukraine in many positions increased by 1.5% in price terms and by 20% in physical volume, the deputy head of the administration noted. Imports from Ukraine, he said, amounted to almost $4 billion.

Kozak specifically noted that major Ukrainian entrepreneurs Petro Poroshenko, Alexander Granovsky, Igor Kolomoisky, Dmitry Firtash, Rinat Akhmetov and Viktor Pinchuk "pay for products that are produced in the Russian Federation." With this money, Russia, among other things, provides humanitarian support to the Donbass and covers internal obligations.
