The company was banned from working because of goods with Russian symbols and sales of Russian soldier uniforms. Sanctionsagainst Wildberries Zelensky approved the day before. Earlier, Kyiv reported that anti-Ukrainian books were sold in the store.

Sanctions against the Russian company Wildberries were introduced in Ukraine due to the fact that the online store sold, among other things, the uniform and symbols of the Russian army. This was announced on TELEGRAM by the Minister of Culture and Information Policy of the country Alexander Tkachenko.

“Russian retail, which, among other things, sells Russian propaganda and uniforms of Russian soldiers, will not work in Ukraine. We are talking about Wildberries,” the minister wrote.

Tkachenko thanked the President of Ukraine and the National Security and Defense Council for supporting sanctions against Wildberries. “This is another step in the struggle to clear the Ukrainian information space from Russian expansion. Anti-Ukrainian theses, books and stories have no place in Ukraine. The next step is Russian OTT platforms,” said the HEAD of the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture, apparently referring to over-the-top services (for example, online cinemas and streaming services).
