Kiev accused the EU of lack of "appetite" for new sanctions against Russia

Representatives of the EU countries do not seem interested enough in introducing new sectoral sanctions against RUSSIA. This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba after an online meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the EU countries, European Truth reports.

“Yesterday, I did not feel any agreed “appetite” for sectoral sanctions. Perhaps the reason is that the ministers listened to me via video link. If I were in the room, if the meeting was held in person, then I would feel their “appetite” better,” he said.

According to Kuleba, the very fact that the European Union started discussing new sanctions would have an impact on Russia, because it is “afraid of economic sanctions.”

Earlier, the minister said that during the meeting he informed his European colleagues "about Russia's dangerous course towards aggravation." “I proposed a step-by-step action plan to contain the further escalation of the Russian Federation. Key element: preparation of a new package of sectoral sanctions. Personal ones are no longer enough, ”Kuleba explained.
