Canada imposed sanctions against Kolya Lukashenko

Canadian authorities have added ten people to the sanctions list for Belarus, including Nikolai Lukashenko, the son of Belarusian President ALEXANDER LUKASHENKO, the Canadian Foreign Ministry reports.

In addition to Nikolai Lukashenko, the sanctions included several chairmen of district courts of Belarus, the country's Deputy Defense Minister for Armaments Andrei Fedin and the First Deputy Chairman of the State Military-Industrial Committee of Belarus Oleg Mishchenko, as well as the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Belarus Pavel Muraveiko. In addition, restrictions were introduced against six enterprises.

The day before, the UK also expanded its sanctions list for Belarus . it included the Scientific Research Institute of Electronic Computers (NIIEVM), the StankoGomel and Rukhservomotor enterprises, as well as the heads of the republic’s correctional colonies.

Earlier, on August 5, another 28 individuals from Belarus were subject to EU sanctions , including the general DIRECTOR of the BelTA news agency, Irina Akulovich.
