Italy seized €900 million worth of property from sanctioned Russians, Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio said in an interview with Bild.
“So far, we can talk about a total amount of €900 million. We acted quickly and consistently and will continue to do so,” Di Maio said, noting that Rome strictly adheres to its sanctions obligations. On March 22, the Italian authorities announced a €800 million asset freeze.
