The US is imposing sanctions on two vessels and one Russian-linked company involved in the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project. This was stated by Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

According to him, the State Department presented to Congress a report based on the Protecting European Energy Security Act (PEESA) of 2019.

The report mentions two vessels and one Russian-linked company, Transadria Ltd., which are involved in the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. Transadria will be sanctioned on the basis of PEESA and its vessel Marlin "will be recognized as confiscated property." Another ship, against which sanctions will be imposed, is not named.
