The sanctions of Australia and New Zealand against the HEAD of the Russian Ministry of Education, Sergei Kravtsov, will not prevent RUSSIA from continuing to pursue an open educational policy, interacting with all friendly countries. Representatives of Canberra and Wellington can come to the territory of Donbass at any time "to study a visual picture of what is happening," the head of the Ministry of Education said in a response received by RBC.

According to him, the sanctions attacks by a number of countries, including Australia and New Zealand, "undermine the foundations laid down in the interrelated sustainable development goals developed by the UN General Assembly in 2015." Kravtsov believes that from the standpoint of international studies of the quality of education, Australia and New Zealand are “far from being in the top ten ratings”, in the imposition of sanctions they stop interacting with one of the regular leaders in research in a number of key areas - Russia.

“At the same time, the territorial remoteness of these states from the places of events taking place on the territory of Ukraine over the past 8 years, as well as the lack of regular contacts with representatives of the education authorities of the Russian Federation, calls into question the objectivity of the information received from the education authorities of these countries,” noted minister.

Kravtsov stressed that the Russian Ministry of Education would invite delegations of officials and experts on education and the protection of children's rights from Australia and New Zealand "to study a clear picture of what is happening." “With their own eyes they will see the equipment of schools and other educational organizations in the Donetsk, Luhansk People's Republics, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, the organization of the educational process, support for teachers in these regions. And they will also be able to see reports on the state of this infrastructure for the last 8 years,” he concluded.
