Rhen Zhengfei, the founder and CEO of the Chinese company
HUAWEI, sent out a circular to the company's employees warning them that the company is between life and death. This is reported by RBC with reference to
BLOOMBERG.
In his address, the
HEAD of the company advised underutilized employees to join the "special purpose groups", which will study new projects. Some Huawei employees, who will not be able to find their niche, will face salary cuts every three months and will face the threat of losing their jobs, said Rhen Zhengfei.
However, the founder of
CHINA's technology giant, Zhengfei, expressed confidence that his company would thrive and that U.S.
EXPORT restrictions would not cause
it significant damage. Huawei, he said, can do without cooperation with American companies.
"Regardless of whether the blacklist is expanding or not, it will not have a significant impact on Huawei's business. We can succeed without relying on American companies," the businessman said in an interview with Associated Press.
According to him, restrictions are only applied to American companies selling chips and other components for Huawei devices. Moreover, thanks to the measures taken by the U.S. authorities, the company has refused to use unimportant U.S. products. However, Rhen Zhengfei added that in the future Huawei would like to continue to purchase components in the U.S. because only in this way can it "contribute to the overall prosperity of society.
