
The European Union will ban broadcasting of three Russian state channels. This was announced by the HEAD of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen, the statement is posted on the website of the EC.
“We are closing access to our air to three major Russian state broadcasters. They will no longer be allowed to distribute their content in the EU in any form, whether by cable, satellite, internet or smartphone apps,” she said.

She did not specify which channels were specifically referred to, but said that the EU considered them "mouthpieces of propaganda."
In addition, the EU will ban EU citizens from providing accounting, advisory and other services to Russian companies.
At the end of February, Ursula von der Leyen announced that the RUSSIA Today (RT) channel would no longer be able to continue broadcasting in the European Union, while the work of the Sputnik news agency and their subsidiaries would also be blocked.
In turn, the editor-in-chief of RT Margarita Simonyan said that the staff of media banned in the EU would not be cut.
