FPB proposes to oblige employers to renew contracts for all conscientious workers

The Federation of Trade Unions proposes to make mandatory the extension of contracts with conscientious workers or transfer them to an open-ended employment contract with all additional social guarantees preserved.

This was stated by the leadership of the FPB during a working meeting with deputies of the House of Representatives and members of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly.

“According to the contract system, today we are talking about the fact that if a person works without remarks, there are no complaints against him, he fulfills his labor obligations well, then the contract with him should be extended for a maximum period,” Mikhail Orda, chairman of the FPB, emphasized.

According to him, today there is a problem when, during optimization or restructuring at the enterprise, the employee simply does not renew the contract. At the same time, there is a well-established mechanism - reduction. This system, first of all, gives the opportunity and time to re-employ, a person is paid an allowance. Today, in relation to those who work under a contract, additional measures of legislative protection are required, according to the FPB.
