EU imposes sanctions against three State Duma deputies due to elections in Crimea

The European Union (EU) imposed sanctions against five Russian citizens for organizing the elections to the State Duma, which were held in Crimea in September 2021. Information about this is contained in the official journal of the EU.

“The Council believes that five individuals should be added to the list of individuals and entities subject to restrictive measures for their role in undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine,” the document says.
