
Companies from India, Sri Lanka, CHINA , Serbia, Kazakhstan, Thailand, and Turkey have been hit by EU EXPORT restrictions imposed due to accusations of evading sanctions against RUSSIA, according to a press release from the European Council.
The European Council clarified that they will be subject to stricter export restrictions on dual-use goods and technologies that could strengthen the Russian defense sector. Specifically, this concerns four firms from China and one each from Kazakhstan, India, Serbia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and Turkey. In total, the list of organizations accused of assisting in sanctions evasion includes 27.
On February 23, the EU imposed its 13th round of sanctions against Moscow. it targeted 106 individuals and 88 entities. Brussels also added new items to the list of goods banned from export to Russia. For example, it banned the supply of drone components to the country and imposed additional restrictions on the supply of goods that, according to EU officials, enhance Russia's industrial potential.

The sanctions specifically affected ALROSA CEO Pavel Marinychev, the diamond mining companies AGD Diamonds and Almazny Mir, the chairman of the board of directors of the mining company Mechel Igor Zyuzin, and the Sverdlov Plant located in Dzerzhinsk (which produces ammunition).
