The EU countries "will continue to hold RUSSIA accountable" in connection with the situation around opposition leader Alexei Navalny. This was stated at a briefing by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, RBC correspondent reports.

“The Russian authorities should give him [Navalny] access to [medical] specialists whom he trusts,” Borrell said, commenting on the news about the transfer of the oppositionist to a hospital for convicts.

The Kremlin responded to calls to provide medical assistance to Navalny Politics

Last week, more than 70 world celebrities signed an open letter asking Navalny to provide competent medical care. US national security adviser Jake Sullivan also threatened "consequences" for Russia if Navalny died.

The Kremlin, in turn, said that the state of HEALTH of convicts in Russia should not be of interest to other states.
