Moscow's list of "unfriendly countries" will affect its relations with Brussels, the EU foreign service said in a statement. it was published following a conversation with Russia's Permanent Representative to the EU Vladimir Chizhov.
On May 3, Chizhov was summoned by the Secretary General of the European Commission, Ilse Johansson, and the Secretary General of the EU Foreign Service, Stefano Sannino. During the conversation, they raised the topic of the expulsion of Czech diplomats from RUSSIA and its measures against the so-called unfriendly states, "expressing serious concern about how these actions will affect bilateral relations."
EU member states also condemned Moscow's decision to impose sanctions on European officials, calling them politically motivated. Brussels "reserves the right to take appropriate retaliatory measures," the statement said.

The statement of the Russian Permanent Mission to the EU says that Chizhov gave European diplomats explanations about the sanctions measures taken by Moscow.
