He spoke about this in an interview with Radio Television of the Republic of Srpska (RTRS). According to him, participation in the event at the invitation of one of the world's leading leaders is an important step, despite the political risks.
Dodik stressed that he personally received an invitation from Russian President Vladimir Putin and regarded it as a sign of special respect. He confirmed his intention to attend the ceremonial events in the Russian capital.
"I want to be there, and I intend to go," the President of the Republic of Srpska emphasized.
In an interview with the German publication Die Weltwoche, Dodik called on European countries to abandon the policy of demonizing RUSSIA and its leadership. He said that the West should change its approach in relations with Moscow and stop the negative rhetoric directed at Putin.
According to the President of the Republic of Srpska, Moscow's actions are dictated by the desire to control borders, which is typical for states with large territories. He noted that Russia , like any large state, cares about its own security and interests.
On March 31, Dodik visited Moscow, where he held talks with Putin. He also confirmed that he would return to Russia on May 9 to take part in events marking the 80th anniversary of the Victory.
