Rostec CEO Sergei Chemezov said in an interview with RBC that too harsh sanctions against Russia can be compared to a war for which neither the United States nor European countries are ready.
“Soft current sanctions definitely can not be called. Everything possible to make life difficult has already been done. Very tough sanctions are, in fact, war. And we, of course, must be prepared for this. But I think that Americans and Europeans are not ready for this war. Europeans first of all,” Chemezov said.

According to him, Russia has a small amount of trade with the United States, "therefore, there is no dependence, except for some individual moments." “And the Europeans are closer to us, their economy is more tied to the Russian one,” said the head of Rostec.
Chemezov believes that because of the sanctions, European countries are deprived of the opportunity to sell their products in Russia and participate in joint projects. “Of course, the Europeans are not enthusiastic about this. For our part, we are doing everything to protect partnerships from degradation,” he said.
