Britain imposed sanctions against Putin's relatives and ex-wife

The UK has added 12 more people to the sanctions list. Under the sanctions, in particular, the ex-wife of President Vladimir Putin, Lyudmila Ocheretnaya, fell. The report claims that "there is reason to believe that she was involved in the destabilization in Ukraine."

The restrictions also affected the Olympic champion in rhythmic gymnastics Alina Kabaeva (as HEAD of the board of directors of the National Media Group) and her grandmother Anna Zatsepilina. Zatsepilina, according to British authorities, received the property from Gennady Timchenko.

Relatives of the President fell under the sanctions: cousin, former vice-president of Master Bank Igor Putin (according to the British authorities, DIRECTOR of the port Pechenga), his son Roman Putin (according to the British authorities, head of the board of directors of the MRT group), cousin Mikhail Putin, President and Deputy Chairman of the Board of SOGAZ Insurance, Mikhail Shelomov, the head of state's nephew, shareholder of Rossiya Bank, a key shareholder of the National Media Group.

In addition to them, Vladimir Putin’s classmate Viktor Khmarin (owner of Nefteproduktservis), head of the port of Gelendzhik Vladimir Kolbin, co-owner and head of Vital Development Corporation Alexander Plekhov, Putin’s old acquaintance, member of the board of directors of SOGAZ Mikhail Klishin, head of the Gazfond” Yuri Shamalov (son of an old friend of President Nikolai Shamalov).

In total, 1,267 Russians have already fallen under British sanctions. Among them are Russian politicians, businessmen, representatives of state publications.
