The UK has restored transport sanctions against businessman Oleg Tinkov and Roman Abramovich's partner, HEAD of Millhouse Yevgeny Shvidler. This was reported in a statement by the British Foreign Office.
“The UK is introducing new legislative tools to limit the access of Russian oligarchs to aviation and shipping services. Sanctions are being tightened against Yevgeny Shvidler and Oleg Tinkov. Britain today, March 30, <...> prohibits the maintenance of aircraft and ships belonging to certain Russian oligarchs <...> by British aviation and maritime industries and engineers, ”the statement says.
The reasons for the decision are not named.

The Foreign Ministry notes that this measure against Tinkov and Shvidler has been agreed with the country's parliament and will take effect immediately. The statement quoted Foreign Minister Liz Truss as saying that the tightening of sanctions "will no doubt surprise [Vladimir] Putin and his elite with the toughness."
