When discussing restrictions on RUSSIA, some EU members asked for an exception for already signed agreements, energy transactions and a number of banks,Bloomberg found out

Some large EU member states asked to be excluded from the draft anti-Russian sanctions, which are supposed to be introduced in the event of an invasion of Ukraine, a number of banks and already signed contracts, writes BLOOMBERG, citing a source.

In particular, they proposed to provide for transitional periods, as well as to withdraw from possible sanctions transactions in the energy sector, already signed contracts and a number of financial organizations.

One of the interlocutors of the agency added that the European Union is working on a package of measures that will affect Russia's ability to convert currency, and will also include restrictions on exports, imports and access to key technologies. Speaking about the last point, a Bloomberg source mentioned the SWIFT system and said that this option is still being considered.

However, according to him, the US , the EU and the UK still need to come to an agreement on what specific actions of Russia will be subject to sanctions .
