
The UK will announce a new package of sanctions on Friday 9 December. This was reported by BLOOMBERG, citing sources.
According to the agency, sanctions will be directed against Russian individuals and legal entities, in particular those associated with corruption and human rights violations. The new package of restrictions also aims to combat the evasion of existing sanctions.

The HEAD of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, announced the content of the ninth package of EU sanctions against RUSSIA. The European Union proposes to introduce restrictions against 200 individuals and legal entities. According to von der Leyen, the list will include military, defense enterprises, members of the State Duma and the Federation Council, ministers, governors and political parties. The sanctions will also affect three Russian banks, including a complete ban on operations with the Russian Regional Development Bank (RRDB). EXPORT restrictions will be placed on dual-use items, as well as on key chemicals, nerve agents, electronics, it components that could be used in the Russian military industry, and drones.
The UK has repeatedly introduced restrictions against Russian citizens and companies this year. The last time new sanctions were announced on November 30 against 22 Russian officials. The black list then included Deputy Prime Minister and head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, DIRECTOR of the Federal Penitentiary Service Arkady Gostev and chairman of the Central Election Commission Ella Pamfilova. All sanctioned individuals are banned from entering the UK and their assets in the country (if any) are frozen.
In total, as indicated by the country's Foreign Ministry, over 1.2 thousand individuals and more than 120 organizations were included in the list. Among them are President Vladimir Putin , Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, businessmen Pyotr Aven, Mikhail Fridman, German Khan; from organizations - Sberbank, VTB, Aeroflot, Rostec, United Aircraft Corporation, Uralvagonzavod.
