Bloomberg and Reuters learned about the imminent US ban on oil imports from Russia

The United States may soon impose a ban on the supply of oil, gas and coal from RUSSIA. This was reported by REUTERS and BLOOMBERG, citing their own sources in the US administration.

This was confirmed by Democratic Senator Chris Koons. In an interview with CNN, he said that the country's authorities may "announce this on Tuesday or Wednesday."

According to Bloomberg, the import ban will affect Russian oil, liquefied natural gas and coal. “The Biden administration intends to impose a ban as early as Tuesday, without waiting for European allies <...> This decision was made in consultation with the Europeans, who are more dependent on Russian energy than the United States,” the publication reports, citing sources.
