Belarus and Chechnya have a serious potential for the development of trade cooperation and industrial cooperation, Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov said today during a meeting with the HEAD of the Chechen Republic of the Russian Federation Ramzan Kadyrov, BelTA has learned.

 

During the meeting, the parties discussed promising areas of cooperation. “First of all, we are talking about trade cooperation. There is a potential for its multiple increase in the next few years. We are interested in supplying Chechnya with our reliable and affordable passenger, cargo, mining, agricultural, road construction, and municipal equipment. MAZ is already ready to participate today in the modernization of the freight and bus fleet of Chechnya. With your support, we could carry out a comprehensive pilot supply of this equipment," the Prime Minister noted.

 

 

The second direction, according to Andrey Kobyakov, could be industrial cooperation in priority areas for the Chechen side. “The first step could be the creation of an assembly plant in Chechnya by our Bobruiskagromash under an agreement signed with your Ministry of Agriculture. head of the Chechen Republic.

 

Andrei Kobyakov emphasized that Belarus and Chechnya should also develop other joint projects, in particular, for the supply of equipment and spare parts of the Autocomponents holding to enterprises of the automotive industry in Chechnya.

 

 

"The third direction is cooperation in the agricultural sector, taking into account your plans for its modernization. I am sure you will be interested in the experience of our specialists and scientific and practical developments in the agro-industrial complex - this is the introduction of advanced technologies in the production and processing of agricultural products, the creation of dairy farms, the supply modern milking parlors, crop production, livestock breeding, veterinary medicine. Belarus produces a wide range of agricultural machinery and equipment, we can supply all this to the Chechen Republic. We are ready to share our experience in creating agro-towns, participate in programs for the development of social infrastructure and engineering arrangement of rural settlements", - said the head of the Belarusian government.

 

 

In addition, Belarus sees prospects for cooperation in construction and housing and communal services. "Belarusian organizations have experience in other regions of RUSSIA in the field of road construction, design, construction of housing and infrastructure and are interested in participating in such projects in Chechnya. We can also ensure the supply of road construction and municipal equipment, building materials and elevators," - said Andrey Kobyakov.

 

At the same time, the Prime Minister noted that the areas of cooperation between Belarus and Chechnya are not limited to the above. "There can be many more of them. These are healthcare, education, tourism, and other areas. We are counting on a serious intensification of our interaction both at the level of executive authorities and at the level of business circles," he concluded.

 

The head of the Belarusian government said that direct ties with the subjects of Russia are the basis of trade and economic cooperation and the foundation of relations between Belarus and Russia. “We highly appreciate your concrete steps to establish partnership relations with Belarus, as evidenced by the signing of an intergovernmental agreement on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation at the recent Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia in Moscow. There is an interest in deepening our cooperation, we we welcome this, the main thing now is to fill this agreement with concrete content and projects of mutual interest.And for this purpose, it is proposed to develop and sign an action plan for 2018-2020 in early 2018 to implement the agreement,

 

 

In turn, Ramzan Kadyrov stressed that the establishment of ties between Belarus and Chechnya is a new stage on the path of strengthening Belarusian-Russian relations. "This process is of great importance for the further socio-economic development of our countries. We have a huge potential for trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation. We attach great importance to joint activities in the production of goods and services. At the stage of development and implementation are interesting investment projects, including in the field of construction and agriculture," the head of the Chechen Republic said.-0-
