In response to anti-Russian sanctions, Moscow may arrange cyber attacks, said US President Joe Biden during a round table with business representatives. The broadcast was posted on Twitter.

According to the American leader, Russian President Vladimir Putin did not expect that Western countries, opposing the conduct of a special military operation in Ukraine, would be united in the measures taken against Moscow.

“We should be cautious about what comes next. He knows that there will be severe consequences in connection with the united front of NATO. <...> it is most likely that he uses cyberattacks [in response],” Biden said.

“The federal government is doing its part to prepare for potential Russian cyberattacks. We are ready to help private sector companies with tools and experience,” Biden said in another Twitter statement.
