
The sanctions imposed by Ukraine had no effect and will not affect the work of the Amur Shipyard in the future. This was reported to RBC in the press service of the enterprise.
“The company has not had business contacts with manufacturers from Ukraine for more than ten years. The team will continue to work on the construction of civil and military orders in accordance with the construction work schedules,” the press service said.
The day before, on October 5, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree imposing sanctions against 95 individuals and four legal entities (including the Amur Shipyard), as well as seven FSB officers from the UK sanctions list dated August 20, 2021.
With this decree, Zelensky put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) dated October 5, 2021. London accuses them of involvement in the poisoning of opposition leader Alexei Navalny. The Russian authorities deny this fact.

In addition to the Amur Shipbuilding Plant, the Singaporean enterprise Zasshid PTE, the Mayak Ship Lighting Plant (Simferopol) and the Kazan State State Gunpowder Plant (Kazan) fell under sanctions.
