More than 2,800 polling stations have been organized for residents of Tatarstan, 46 of which are temporary. They will be placed in sanatoriums, on the territory of railway stations, airports, pre-trial detention centers and hospitals.
“There is a special procedure for organizing sites in covid hospitals. If the voter shows a desire to take part in the voting, we must ensure the implementation of his electoral right. At the same time, it is necessary to understand the importance of observing all security measures,” said Andrei Kondratyev, chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The day before, the CEC of RUSSIA announced the possibility of organizing temporary election commissions in COVID hospitals. Such temporary polling stations can be organized only if necessary and after a relevant request from the management of the medical institution.
Elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation will be held in Tatarstan on September 17, 18 and 19. In addition, by-elections to the State Council will be held in the Azinsky (Kazan) and Student (Nizhnekamsk) constituencies, as well as by-elections of deputies of local self-government bodies.
