Residents of the North Caucasus Federal District in 2021 spent more than 2 billion rubles on medicines for COVID-19.

Residents of the North Caucasus in 2021, according to the unified system of digital marking and tracking of goods "Honest Sign", spent 2.04 billion rubles on medicines against CORONAVIRUS. This was reported to RBC Caucasus at the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CRPT).

In particular, last year residents of the Stavropol Territory spent 1.1 billion rubles on medicines for covid-19 . In addition, in Dagestan - 285 million rubles, in North Ossetia - 216 million rubles, in Kabardino-Balkaria - 212 million rubles, in Karachay-Cherkessia - 153 million rubles, in Ingushetia - 49 million rubles and in Chechnya - 34.5 million rubles.

According to RBC, in general, Russians spent more than 64 billion rubles on anti-covid medicines in 2021.

Residents of Moscow and the Moscow Region (5 billion rubles each), as well as the Krasnodar Territory (3 billion rubles) incurred the greatest expenses.

In total, 144 million packages of drugs recommended for the treatment of COVID-19 were sold in the country.
