Over the weekend, the Nizhny Novgorod region twice updated the anti-record for the number of new cases of coronavirus infection. On Saturday, more than 3.7 thousand infections were registered, and on Sunday the number of cases exceeded four thousand. This was reported by the operational headquarters of the Russian Federation.

The total number of residents of the region who were diagnosed with COVID-19 during the pandemic exceeded 271.31 thousand people. According to the latest data, more than 232.64 thousand Nizhny Novgorod residents have recovered.

During the entire period of the pandemic, 10,645 Nizhny Novgorod residents became victims of the coronavirus. 31 people have died in the last 24 hours. 

Against the backdrop of an increase in the incidence, the Nizhny Novgorod Ministry of Health has introduced a procedure for remote registration of sick leave.
