In the Kaliningrad region over the past day, 2020 new cases of CORONAVIRUS were registered, eight deaths were confirmed. The total number of deaths has increased to 1561, according to the regional operational headquarters.

Of the 2020 cases, 1899 are in the form of acute respiratory viral infections, another 30 are in the form of pneumonia.

Among those who fell ill per day, there were 438 cases of children under 18, including: 119 preschoolers who do not attend kindergartens, including 4 under one year old; 70 preschool children under 6 attending preschool institutions; 232 schoolchildren; 17 students.

Among the sick are 1,582 adults - 295 pensioners over 65 years old, as well as 41 medical workers; 96 education workers; 78 trade and catering employees; 104 employees of industrial enterprises; 59 transport workers, drivers; 37 employees of food enterprises; 17 employees of enterprises in the housing and communal services sector; 9 employees of cultural institutions; 26 bank employees; 6 employees of agricultural enterprises; 8 employees of telecommunications companies; 10 employees of security companies; 5 hotel employees; one employee of the sanatorium; 3 employees of household services enterprises; 567 other employees; 274 pensioners; 45 students over 18; 196 unemployed.

Earlier, RBC Kaliningrad, citing the chief sanitary DOCTOR of the region, wrote that the wave of coronavirus cases in the Kaliningrad region is starting to subside. If in early February the number of infected people increased by more than 60% per week, now it is growing by 42%.
