Eight people died from COVID-19 in a day in the region

In the Kaliningrad region over the past day, 182 cases of CORONAVIRUS infection were detected, 192 people recovered, eight deaths were confirmed. The number of deaths has increased to 1267, according to the regional operational headquarters.

In 160 new patients, the infection proceeds in the form of SARS, in 13 - in the form of pneumonia, and another nine are ill without symptoms.

Among adult cases: 73 pensioners, 23 entrepreneurs, 47 unemployed, five HEALTH workers, three specialists from educational institutions, six employees of trade and public catering enterprises, five employees of transport enterprises and drivers, four employees of industrial enterprises, two employees of banks, two employees of the food industry, two a security guard, an employee of a telecommunications company, an employee of the housing and communal services sector and an employee of an agricultural enterprise.

Among the sick children: two pupils of kindergartens, two schoolchildren and three students.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in the region, a total of 82,176 infected people have been registered, 78,681 have been ill. As of December 30, the Center for Monitoring the Spread of Infection, 579,127 people in the region were fully vaccinated. The herd immunity level is 73.3%.
