North Korea fired a ballistic missile-like projectile towards the Sea of ​​Japan, Yonhap reports, citing a statement by the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff.

“The authorities are analyzing the range and altitude of the missile, and the question of possible compliance with a ballistic missile is being raised,” the report said.

Later, REUTERS, citing the Japanese Coast Guard, reported that an unknown missile fell into the sea.

The agency clarified that the current launch occurred 18 days after the previous one, when two “new tactical guided missiles” were fired from the DPRK.
