Lawyers evaluated the legality of mandatory vaccination against COVID-19 in Yakutia

In RUSSIA, there are no legal norms that would oblige a person to be vaccinated forcibly, Vladimir Starinsky, chairman of the Starinsky and Partners bar association, told RBC.

Earlier, the authorities of Yakutia announced a fine of 200 thousand rubles. for employers who do not provide mandatory vaccination of their employees. And those who “unreasonably refuse” to be vaccinated, they threatened not to be allowed to work.

“In order to fine or not allow citizens of the region to work for refusing to be vaccinated, it is necessary to have a legislative framework. Including administrative,” said Starinsky.

The lawyer believes that the current legislation does not allow to be held liable in case of refusal to vaccinate. To hold people accountable, a specific article of the Code of Administrative Offenses is required specifically for this type of violation. “Most likely, the decision of the sanitary DOCTOR of the region will be canceled in the near future by the prosecutor’s office or the COURT,” he said. covid-19 is certainly a global problem, but in order to get people to get vaccinated, it is necessary first of all to change the legislation. He noted that this must be done both at the federal level and at the level of the administrative legislation of the subject.
