Yandex offered benefits to vaccinated couriers and taxi drivers

Yandex will offer drivers and couriers who will be vaccinated against covid-19 advantages in working with customer orders. The initiative began to operate in Moscow and the Moscow region on June 25, RBC was told in the company's press service.

“Taxi drivers and couriers who fulfill Yandex.Delivery orders, after vaccination, all other things being equal, will be able to receive and accept new orders earlier than others, which means they can earn more per shift due to reduced downtime and idle run. Couriers fulfilling orders from Yandex.Food and Lavka will get access to scheduled shifts half an hour earlier than everyone else as a reward for vaccination. So they will be able to choose the most convenient and profitable delivery area and shift time interval earlier,” explained the meaning of the initiative in Yandex.

In order to receive such benefits, drivers and couriers need to take a photo of the vaccination certificate and upload the photo to the Yandex.Pro ordering application. This must be done twice - after receiving the first and second components of the vaccine.

Couriers of food and goods delivery services are included in the list of professions in which, according to the decision of the authorities in Moscow and the Moscow region, 60% of workers must be vaccinated. The same applies to taxi drivers.

Moscow became the first region to announce mandatory vaccination of employees from certain areas. Vaccination must be done by at least 60% of the personnel of trade facilities, catering, services, banks, transport, housing and communal services and energy enterprises, educational institutions, healthcare, sports, culture, employees of the public sector and municipal service. They must receive the first component of the vaccine by July 15, and the second component by August 15.
