Khryunov called his son Konstantin Tszyu a "serious force" in world boxing

Tim Tszyu's first fight outside of Australia went brilliantly. This was announced to RBC Sport by the promoter of boxing matches Vladimir Khryunov. 

“The debut was brilliant. The excitement affected, but the coaching staff prepared a plan and chose such a tactic so that Tim would optimally stay on the entire distance. The fight definitely didn’t turn out boring, for a debut in America it’s just right. Friends from Australia write that the whole country is happy about Tszyu's victory," Khryunov said.

The promoter also compared the opportunities at the beginning of the career of Konstantin and Tim Tszyu

“Now the marketing and financial opportunities of the market are much greater. His father did not have fights at the beginning of his career where he was a clear favorite. But Tim is in a different situation. He is already a serious force in professional boxing for the next few years. Of course, the level of rivals will definitely grow. He is already a contender for the title, and next season should be a champion, ”added Khryunov.

The fight between Tim Tszyu and Terrell Gouche took place on the night of March 26-27 in Minneapolis (Minnesota, usa ) and became the main event of the boxing evening. The confrontation lasted 12 rounds, following which all the judges awarded Tszyu the victory. This fight was the first tournament in the United States in which Tim Tszyu took part.

27-year-old Tszyu won 21 wins in 21 fights (15 by knockout) in the professional ring. Tim is the official contender for the title held by WBO middleweight champion Brian Castaño.

Vladimir Khryunov is a sports manager, HEAD of the boxing promotion company Vlad Hrunov Promotion. He worked with such athletes as Alexander Povetkin, Denis Lebedev, Fedor Chudinov. He was the promoter of the absolute world champion in the light heavyweight category, Roy Jones Jr.
