Alexander Khinshteyshn, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technologies and Communications, expressed the hope that there would be no complete blocking of YouTube in RUSSIA. He stated this in TELEGRAM.
“I don’t have an answer to the question that journalists have been asking all evening: will YouTube be blocked in Russia? I really hope not. At least - there will be no complete blocking of the resource. After all, first of all, our users will suffer from this, ”said Hinstein.
In his opinion, it depends on YouTube itself and the GOOGLE corporation that owns it. The State Duma deputy urged the company to unblock YouTube channels of Russian media, remove "countless fakes and illegal content", stop promoting "anti-Russian" rubbish "under the guise of political advertising" and return monetization to Russian bloggers.
